Wide margin of safety in dogs¹

The safety index of robenacoxib in dogs is thought to be due to its high COX-2 selectivity and short residence time in the central compartment
In safety studies in dogs, no significant adverse events were observed with robenacoxib at doses up to 40 mg/kg

Persists at the site of inflammation while sparing other organs from prolonged drug exposure²

Onsior persists longer and at higher concentrations at the site of inflammation than in the blood, for effective once-daily dosing
Onsior is rapidly eliminated from the blood, sparing well-perfused organs from prolonged drug exposure

Onsior tablets for dogs (5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg) are indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with soft tissue surgery and for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with chronic osteoarthritis in dogs.

Onsior solution for injection for cats and dogs (20 mg) is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with orthopaedic or soft tissue surgery in dogs.

COX-2 = cyclooxygenase-2.
